THE LORD’S END TIME ARMY

The trumpet of the Lord has been blown and the Holy Spirit is enlisting soldiers in His end time army. This last day army will walk in unprecedented glory and power, the like we have never seen before.

Matthew 11:12 says,
And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.

This upcoming end time army will be militant in spirit. They are not just youth, they are everyone that has the same burning passion, desire, and heart for advancing His Kingdom and bringing in the “Great Harvest”.

Joel 2:1-11
In Joel 2:1-11, Joel describes the end time army of the Lord. It is an awesome and powerful army that will bring in the “Great Harvest” and bring glory to the Lord.

(1) Blow the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in My holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble, for the day of the Lord is comeing, for it is at hand.

We are to proclaim that the day of the Lord has come “to preach the gospel to the poor (lost), to heal the brokenhearted, to set the captives free, and to heal the sick” (Isaiah 61:1-4, Luke 4:18-19, Matthew 10:7-8, & Mark 16:15-18).  As believers, we are to alert all of those around us that the time is short and the day for their salvation has come. We are to tell them about Jesus and show them His love.

(2) A day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness, like the morning clouds spread over the mountains.  A people come, great and strong, the like of whom has never been nor will there ever be any such after them, even for  many successive generations.

The days that we are living in are getting darker and darker from sin and wickedness of the enemy.  The Lord is raising up a great army for bringing in the last end time harvest before He returns in His glory to gather His bride to Himself.  His army will know their God and they will do great and mighty exploits in His name, and greater works even than Jesus did (Daniel 11:32, John 14:12). There will never be anything like this army that He is releasing into the harvest fields of the world as the harvest is truly ripe and the labourers are few (John 4:35, Matthew 9:37).

(3) A fire devours before them, and behind them a flame burns.  The land is like the Garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness.  Surely nothing shall escape them.

The fire of God will go before us to consume and destroy all that is of the enemy. There will be a burning light that is left behind them. The burning light that remains will be the pillar of fire of the everlasting presence of God as He brings the revelation of who Jesus is to all of the earth (Isaiah chapter 4, Isaiah 60:19-20, Habbakuk 2:14).  His army of believers will walk in the fullness of His power and grace and revival will be the result. They will walk in levels of anointing and power that has never been seen before.  They will be strong and know  their God and they will do great exploits in His name.  They will walk in the fullness of God’s power, anointing and grace and do greater works than Jesus because of the Holy Spirit and the love of Jesus upon their lives ( Daniel 11:32, John 14:12). They will have the fire of God upon their lives as they will walk humbly and contritely before their God and God will make them His ministers of fire  ( Psalm 104:4, Hebrews 1:7,

God will make a highway through the ministry of His army and repentanceIsaiah 40:5 says,
The glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together…

Isaiah 60:2 says,
…The Lord shall arise upon you, and His glory shall be seen upon you.

Habakkuk 2:14 says,
For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge (knowing) of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.

The glory of the Lord will fill the earth and all the people will see it. The Lord’s army will be used to help bring in His glory and there will be great manifestations of the presence and glory of the Lord, like we have never seen before. Signs, wonders and miracles will become common as He pours out His love and mercy upon all flesh.

(4) The appearance of them is as the appearance of horses; and as horsemen, so shall they run.

His army will be strong and mighty in the Lord. They will go with such ease and speed in all that they will do for the Lord. They will be a humble, peaceful, tenacious people that are trained to war against their spiritual enemy, and they will be fearless because of their trust in the Lord and knowing who they are in Him.  They will know and use all the weapons of their warfare stedfastly exercising the word of God and holding fast to it in the darkness as they fight the good fight of faith in the spirit.  They walk in love and in the Spirit, and the blood of Jesus is their constant covering as they walk in holiness before the Lord.

Genesis 49:19 says,
Gad, a troop shall overcome him: but he shall overcome at the last.

This verse of scripture is a prophetic picture of the Body of Christ and the time that we are in now. The Body of Christ is like this army of the tribe of Gad. At times, it seemed like the enemy was winning but like the Lord has told us in His Word, we shall overcome and be victorious.

The Gadites, were men who were the most fierce in battle and most warlike of the tribes of Israel. They were very brave, skillful with every weapon of war and skillful in fighting. They also were some of David’s mighty men that were with him.

1 Chronicles 12:8, 14 says,
(8) Some Gadites joined David at the stronghold in the wilderness, mighty men of valour, and men trained for battle, who could handle shield and spear, whose faces were like the faces of lions, and were as swift as gazelles upon the mountains.
(14) These were from the sons of God, captains of the army, the least was over an hundred, and the greatest over a thousand. (The one that was least could resist an hundred, and the greatest could resist a thousand.)

Deuteronomy 33:20-21 says,
(20) And of Gad he said, ..…he dwells as a lion, and tears the arm and the crown of his head.
(21) …He administered the justice of the Lord, and his judgements with Israel.

1 Chronicles 5:18 says,
The sons of Reuben, the Gadites…. were able to bear shield and sword, and to shoot with a bow, and skillful in war who went to war…

In these verses we see the warlike character of the Gadites. Just as the Gadites separated themselves unto David, This army will be separated unto the Lord. He has been training His army for all of their lives for such a time as this. The army of the Lord will daily wear their armour and be skillful with every spiritual weapon that the Lord has given to them.  They will walk in great boldness, and will do all things with great power and authority that He has been given to them, in these last days.

This is the way that the Lord’s end time army of believers will be and how they will be used by the Lord to bring forth His purposes.

(5) With a noise like chariots over mountaintops they leap.  Like the noise of a flame of fire that devours the stubble, like a strong people set in battle array.

They will walk in great faith and they will speak the truth of His Word with great boldness. The Lord’s army will speak with great clarity in one voice and those words will be heard. This will strike great terror in the camp of the enemy.

(6) Before them the people writhe in pain, all faces are drained of colour.

The people that don’t know the Lord will be afraid and tremble at His presence that goes before and with His army. The enemy will become confused and they will not know what to do.

(7) They run like mighty men.  They climb the wall like men of war; and everyone marches in formation, and they do not break ranks.

They will have supernatural strength come upon them, like Elijah had happen to him, in 1 Kings 18:46. They will go over any obstacle that the enemy has placed before them, as if nothing was there in their way.  They will be united in one Spirit, one heart and one mind in the purposes of God to fulfill His plans for these last days before He returns. The Lord’s army will walk in step and they will do things in the right timing with what the Lord is doing. They will not get ahead of the Lord and they will not turn to do their own thing.

(8) They do not push one another.  Everyone marches in his own column.  Though they lunge between the weapons they are not cut down.
No longer will the believers fight amongst each other through a spirit of jealousy and envy, but rather they will do what they have been trained to do within God’s order. There will be no rebellion within the ranks of the Lords army and no one will be greater than the other as they will each esteem one another more highly than themselves.  They will walk in unity and they will work together as a network (a net that works) to bring in the “Great Harvest”. Each one will operate in the anointing that the Lord has placed upon their life and they will walk in the destiny that He has given to them.  The Lord will keep and protect them from the attacks of the enemy. Nothing that the enemy tries to fight His army with will bring them harm.

(9) They run to and fro in the city, they run on the wall, they climb into the houses, they enter at the windows like a thief.

They will go to the nations and around the world to preach the Gospel of the Kingdom of God (Mark 1:14) with signs, wonders, and miracles following them. They will do the “greater things” that Jesus spoke of in John 14:12. They also will be anointed for power evangelism. They will go to wherever the people are and they will bring the revelation (light) of Jesus to them. The lost will both see the signs, wonders, and miracles take place and they will hear the Gospel of the Kingdom (Matthew 4:23; 24:14). The “windows” speak of the eye and of the ear openings and are the gates with which things enter into a person’s being.  Preaching and teaching will be some of the gifts of this army and they will be greatly used by the Holy Spirit to change the hearts and minds of all who listen to them (Rev 3:22).
(10) The earth quakes before them, the heavens shall tremble, the sun and moon grow dark, and the stars diminish their brightness.

The earth, the heavens, the sun, the moon, and the stars will all shake and seem dark to us as the Lord reveals Himself to us, in His brilliant, radiant glory and power. Everything trembles at His presence (Nahum 1:5). What a wonderful, amazing, and exciting time we are living in.

(11) The Lord gives voice before His army, for His camp is very great. For strong is the one who executes His Word.  For the day of the Lord is great and terrible;  who can endure it?

The vibrations of the voice of the Lord will pierce and enter into the hearts of the people, as His people speak His Word. The Lord’s army will also speak His Word with great authority and power, and with great anointing they will do the “greater things” as Jesus said in John 14:12. The end time army of the Lord will be strong and great in number.

The Characteristics of the Lord’s Army
Here are some of the characteristics of the end time army of the Lord.

They will be “yielded vessels” – John 3:30
They will be willing – Psalm 110:3
They will seek His face – Psalm 24:6
They will be a part of ushering in the glory of the Lord – Isaiah 60:1
The glory of the Lord will be seen upon them – Isaiah 60:2
They will be militant – Matthew 11:12
They will be mighty – Joel 2:7
They will be skillful – 1 Chronicles 5:18
They will be bold – Joel 2:7
They will be have great faith – Matthew 21:21
They will speak with power and authority – Luke 9:1
They will be fiery ministers – Psalm 104:4

There will be unity and they will work together – Joel 2:7-8

The Lord’s army will be kingdom minded and have these objectives; loving and knowing Him, souls and destroying the work of Satan (1 John 3:8b). This unity will come from an understanding, that each person has a purpose and a grace from the Father. Each person will walk in their anointing and calling, and they will not fight with one another out of envy and jealousy. The Lord will do away with competition, strife, and envy. This happens as we step into our destinies.

Unprecedented Glory, Power, and Revelation
What has happened to the anointings of Smith Wigglesworth, Maria Woodworth Etter, Kathryn Kuhlman, and all the others? What happened to the mantles and anointings that were on the Lord’s past servants?

The Lord tells us in Isaiah 61:4-11, that He is restoring all that was lost by previous generations. Zechariah 9:12 says, “…I will restore double to you. When the Lord restores, He always does exceeding abundantly above all that we could ever imagine (Ephesians 3:20).

Have Not Seen or Heard

All the things that are coming and going to take place in these last days as the Lord moves and manifests Himself here on earth and through His Body will be greater than anything seen or heard of before. Jesus spoke of these things in Matthew and Luke:

Matthew 13:17 says,
For assuredly I say to you, that many prophets and righteous men desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.

Spiritual blindness and deafness comes through sin which leads to hardness of heart.  The Lord’s end time army will have a full revelation of the importance of keeping short accounts with their God through repentance and daily taking of communion.

Greater Works and Glory

The glory of the Lord will fill the earth and many great and mighty things will be done for His glory. There will be great manifestations of the power, presence and glory of the Lord in an unprecedented way like we have not seen before.

In these following scriptures we see over and over again how the Lord said it would be.

Isaiah 60:1-2 says,
We are to arise and shine for our light has come and the glory of the Lord has risen upon us. His glory shall be seen upon us because

John 17:22 says
That the glory God gave to Him Jesus has given to us.

Colossians 1:27 says
Christ in us is our hope of glory.

John 14:12 says,
…He that believeth on Me, the works that I do shall he do also; greater works than these shall he do…

Haggai 2:9 says,
The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former, says the Lord of hosts…

Isaiah 40:5 says,
And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together…

Isaiah 60:2 says,
…The Lord shall arise upon you, and His glory shall be seen upon you.

Habakkuk 2:14 says,
For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge (knowing) of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.

As each believer obeys the call of God and steps into their destinies, great grace and power will be poured out for revival within each heart, and this revival will spread throughout the nations. As each believer literally takes Jesus at His Word and through faith “works with” the moving of the Holy Spirit, many great and miraculous things will happen. As these things take place, the works of the devil are destroyed and the glory of the Lord is released upon the earth. This is the will of the Father as it is in heaven here on the earth. This is also the kingdom of heaven being made manifest on the earth.

Power

Right now, we are to do the ministry of Jesus as it was when He was on the earth. We have this power, the resurrection power of God, right inside of us because He dwells within each one of us that are believers. As it says in Colossians 1:27, “…..which is Christ in you…” and also in Romans 8:11, “…..the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you…”

We are not to just speak persuading words but as it says in  1 Corinthians 2:4,  “And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power”. This is the power which makes the enemy to tremble and it breaks the grip of the enemy that he has upon the lives of so many people. This is the power of God which the believers have inside of them which is spoken of in Isaiah 10:27, “..…the yoke (grip of the enemy) shall be destroyed because of the anointing (His power).

As believers, we have Christ Jesus living and dwelling within us by His Spirit. All power is in Him and He is in us. We must have a revelation and knowledge of this! His power consists of:

Exousia – Delegated authority
Dunamis – Explosive, dynamite, and miracle working power (raised Jesus from the dead)
Ischus – Mighty power
Kratos – Dominion and great power
His Word goes on even further in Revelation and Acts saying:

Revelation 11:3-6,
(3) And I will give power unto my two witnesses…
(4) These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.
(5) And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.
(6) These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.

Acts 4:33,
And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.

There is one important key to accessing all of this.   It is by “knowing Him” which is not by just knowing “about Him” or “of Him”. This “knowing” is having an intimate personal relationship with Him and that goes beyond giving your life to Jesus.

Daniel 11:32 says,
…But the people that do know their God shall be strong and do exploits.

Who we are in Christ

To exercise the power and authority we have in the name of Jesus it is vital we know who we are Christ.  Once we know who we are in Him, and His will for our lives, we will not tolerate any of the works of the enemy in our lives. Our aim is to be able to say along with Jesus …..and He has nothing in me (John 14:30).  This is the place of holiness and of victory for He says be holy as I am holy (1 Peter 1:16)

Revelation

Today the Lord is releasing fresh and new revelation of the mysteries of the kingdom of God by the Holy Spirit. The word “revelation” means to have knowledge and understanding of something. Now is the time which we are living in that these things the Lord said in His Word would be.

Mark 4:11 says,
…to you it has been given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God…

Ephesians 3:5, 9 says,
(5) Which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to His holy apostles and prophets.
(9) And to make all see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the ages has been hidden in God, who created all things through Jesus Christ.

Colossians 1:26 says,
Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to His saints.

Jeremiah 33:3 says,
Call unto Me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

Some of the things that are being revealed to us in a deeper way are about: the kingdom of God, the supernatural, oneness and intimacy with Jesus Christ, the authority and power He has given to us, His Name (the power of & what is in His Name), His glory, the anointing and the different levels of it, our spiritual defensive and offensive weapons, and our spiritual senses. These things and many others that previous men and women of God have touched on was just the beginning of the revelation to come.

All things are hidden in the heart of the Father as it says in Colossians 2:3, “In whom (the Father) are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge”. The Holy Spirit is the one who brings and reveals these things to us.

1 Corinthians 2:7, 9-13 says,
(7) But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery,  the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the ages for our glory.
(9) But as it is written, Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for those that love Him.
(10) But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit.  For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.
(11) For what man knows the things of a man, save the spirit of a man which is in him? even so the things of God knows no man, but the Spirit of God.
(12) Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
(13) Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Ghost teaches…

His Promises to Us
The Lord has promised us many things in His Word. The things that the devil has stolen from us, the Lord is going to restore them back to us. When the Lord restores, it is always greater than what is was before. With restoration comes increase and it will be in every area of our lives.
